WHAT IS APR?

When financing a vehicle, you may hear the term, APR, which stands for annual percentage rate. This is the interest rate that you pay on a car loan. By having a higher credit score, you can typically have a lower APR.

HOW CAN I IMPROVE MY CREDIT SCORE?

If you want to improve your credit score to qualify for a loan or to have a more favorable APR, you can increase it by paying your bills on time, making several payments on your credit cards during each month and keeping your credit cards open.

WHAT IS A DOWN PAYMENT?

When you loan a vehicle, you can make a down payment as you purchase the vehicle. The down payment covers part of the vehicle’s total price and usually has to reach a minimum percentage of the cost.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LOANING AND LEASING A VEHICLE?

When you lease a vehicle, you’re essentially renting the vehicle from a dealership. After you’re finished leasing the vehicle, you have to either return the vehicle or purchase it. On the other hand, when you choose to loan a vehicle, you can own the vehicle after your loan is paid off.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I TRADE-IN?

When you choose to purchase a new vehicle, you can trade-in your old vehicle. The value of your trade-in can then go towards your new purchase and give you a credit on that purchase.
